Apex Consulting International was established in 2017 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with a clear mandate: to bring rigorous, evidence-based advisory support to the governments and institutions working to improve economic and social outcomes in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
From the outset, we built Apex around a simple conviction that lasting development depends on capable institutions, accountable governance, and reforms designed to outlast the project cycle. This conviction shapes everything we do: how we diagnose problems, how we design solutions, and how we measure success.
In the years since our founding, we have grown into a globally active firm with a portfolio spanning over 40 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Pacific, and the Americas. We have delivered over 150 engagements for clients including the World Bank Group, IFC, African Development Bank, GIZ, UKAID, USAID, and a range of national governments and revenue authorities.
We remain a lean, specialist firm — deliberately so. We believe that depth of expertise and genuine field engagement produce better outcomes than scale for its own sake. Every engagement we take on receives the direct attention of our most experienced advisors.
